AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Infosys Springboard Makers Lab
04-Oct-2024
This innovative initiative by Infosys provides practical exposure to emerging technologies. It is part of Infosys’s broader commitment to digital learning and reskilling, empowering individuals with the skills needed for the future.
The Infosys Springboard Makers Lab offers a hands-on learning experience in various cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), and other industry-relevant tools. The program is designed to cater to students, providing them with the necessary skills to thrive in a technology-driven world. Our college students have conducted hands-on, real-time traffic signal controllers with LED light control.
Key Features:
1. Practical Exposure: Students were given a brief introduction to the Arduino kit, how to program it, and how to execute it on the kit, with work on real-world applications of IoT in traffic light control.
2. Immersive Learning: The program includes masterclasses, programming challenges, practice areas, and playgrounds for experimentation, making the training immersive and engaging.
3. Certification: Learners who complete the program and pass the virtual proctored examinations receive certifications, adding value to their professional profiles.
On 4th and 5th October 2024121, students gained hands-on experience with a real-time traffic light control system. They received their first introduction to the Arduino Uno board and programming using the Zblox application. All the students were initially taught about the program flow and were provided with tablets and laptops for writing the program. They were guided on transferring the program from the tablet/laptop to the Uno board. Afterwards, the students constructed the LED circuit with the help of the instructor and verified the work of the project they had loaded. They were also allowed to change the delay and control the LED on time.
